Emily Procter

 Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8th, 1968) is an American activist and actress. She played Ainsley Hayes's role in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 and 2006) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born October 8, 1968. When she was a baby, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 3 years old when her parents separated. She has an older brother, Whit also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School, Raleigh was Procter's primary school. While at East Carolina University, Procter was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter was employed as a television anchor on news for WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. Procter eventually earned diplomas in dance and journalism.
